My group of Kogakuin kids from left to right: Sunao INOUE, Mika AZUMA, and Yuki MAKOTO. They returned to Japan today, sadly :(
This picture was taken the second day after I met them. Sunao doesn’t know how to fold a crane (tsuru). If you’re Japanese, it seems that it’s a very big shock and “shame” not to be able to fold one. Another one of my Kogakuin friends Nobu said that he himself doesn’t remember actually “learning” how to fold a crane—he just knows how to fold a crane.
I don’t have time to write about my experiences with them currently, but when I’m on break next week, I will! :)
